Do you carry flatbed scanners?

Yes. Rent-a-Scanner-me offers flatbed scanners. Call or Get A Quote and an Inside Sales representative will contact you to discuss your options.

What does “DPI” mean?

DPI stands for Dots Per Inch. The higher the dpi the higher the image quality when scanned, the larger the file size, and the greater amount of storage space requiblue for each scanned page. The industry standard is between 200-300 dpi.

What does “IPM” mean?

IPM stands for Images Per Minute. Rent-a-Scanner-me  high-speed document scanners are capable of scanning one or both sides of each page as it passes through the scanner. One image is created during single-sided scanning (simplex) and two images are created during double-sided scanning (duplex).

What does “ADF” mean?

ADF stands for Automatic Document Feeder. Rent-a-Scanner-me  high-speed scanners use ADF to eliminate the manual labor requiblue during flatbed scanning, allowing Rent-a-Scanner-me customers to scan thousands of pages in no time.

How do I schedule return shipment for my scanners?

You will receive an email with the RMA (Return Material Authorization) information. You will also receive a Fedex return label along with your shipment that you can use to send your rental scanner back to Fujitsu.

Can I use a different carrier for the return shipping?

All Rent-a-Scanner-me transactions are shipped via Fedex only. Call (971 4) 881-4440 option 2 if you have additional questions or concerns.

How do I handle lost or damaged scanner shipping cases?

Customers are responsible for lost or damaged scanner cases. Please call customer service at (971 4) 881-4440 option 4 to discuss your options.

How do I go about extending my rental period?

Customers can extend their rental period by requesting a new quote from the Rent-a-Scanner-me website or by calling inside sales representative at (971 4) 881-4440.

What happens if my scanner has issues, what are my next steps?

Fujitsu will provide support for all scanner rentals. Call (971 4) 881-4440 option 2 to request for Service support.

What Service support does the fi-6140 Series scanner include?

Fujitsu provides Service support for all scanner rentals. Please call (971 4) 881-4440 option 2 for Service support. If the issue cannot be resolved, Fujitsu will provide an Advance Exchange unit.

What Service support does the fi-6670 Series scanner include?

Fujitsu provides Service support for all scanner rentals. Please call (971 4) 881-4440 option 2 for Service support. If the issue cannot be resolved, Fujitsu will provide Onsite Service.

What Service support does the fi-6800 scanner include?

Fujitsu provides Service support for all scanner rentals. Please call (971 4) 881-4440 option 2 for Service support. If the issue cannot be resolved, Fujitsu will provide Onsite Service.

What software comes in the box?

The Setup USB drive includes the following software: PaperStream Capture/PaperStream IP, drivers and ScandAll Pro.

Can I purchase the scanner that I am currently renting?

Can I request expedited shipping?

Rent-a-Scanner-me offers the following shipping options: Fedex standard overnight, Fedex 2 day or Fedex ground. Applicable shipping fees will apply.

How do I prepare my scanner for return?

The Return Material Authorization (RMA) information will be included in your scanner rental shipping confirmation email. There is also a shipping label along with an instruction manual in the box on how to pack the scanner and accessories. Please contact your inside sales representative if you have additional questions.
